meaning of christmas

December 15, 2008

A few days from now the whole world will be celebrating Christmas day especially for the Christian people.  The dawn mass for catholic started on the 16th of December.  Christmas is a wonderful time of family togetherness and goodwill, but the spirit of Christmas often gets lost, we become swept up in the commercial aspect of the holiday and it is easy to forget the true meaning of Christmas. Yes, it is fun to have people over, go to parties, and give and receive gifts. But I believe that the most important thing is to pause and reflect on why we even celebrate.

For many people Christmas means different things… but for some people, Christmas is the celebration of Christ’s birthday. For God so loved the world, He gave us His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to be our Savior, His unconditional love to each and every one of us. This yearly tradition is to remind us Christian the true meaning of love. To love one another, be forgiving, time to share the blessings and try your best to be a good christian.

HAPPY HOLIDAY!
